EDGEWATER SELECTED DUE TO SIZE

Edgewater, NJ has been selected as a Wildlife preserve for Canadian Geese in the Veteran's Field Bird Santuary. This Federal designation means that Edgewater qualifies for matching funds to feed, protect and encourage reproduction of these large flightless birds.
Edgewater was selected due to it's huge geese population in the Veteran's Field Bird Santuary. Local officials are surprised at the designation because they were not even aware of the huge bird population in this under-used facility. Several have commented that perhaps we can also designate the marina property as a bird santuary since they have no plans to do a better job controlling the bird population if this park is purchased.
Congratulations to the people of Edgewater for supporting and protecting this large flock of poop-laying birds!
