In Response To: Public Meeting Tonight on the Grand Cove Marina Referendum (The Staff at Edgewater Online)
I stayed for about an hour and a half. It was quite obvious
that the majority of the people at the meeting were in favor
of purchasing the marina. A marina which is not for sale, I might
add. They did not seem to believe anything that the professionals
said and disputed the figures given. It is ironic that many of the people who are in favor of having
their taxes raised to purchase the "not-for-sale" marina are the
same ones who always complain about taxes going up and
property values going down.
