Inappropriate Postings

We believe that free and open discourse is generally a healthy thing. While our boards may hold postings by a person or persons who seek to promote a certain political agenda, we see no need to take any action on that basis alone: we believe that postings which are politically motivated are sufficiently transparent and will be seen by readers of these boards for what they are. In actuality, such postings might well hinder rather than help this person or persons' cause.

However, Edgewater Online is a FAMILY-FRIENDLY site, and we absolutely will not tolerate vulgarity or profanity on these boards. A posting has already been deleted for this reason. If the abuse continues, we may unfortunately be placed in a position where we will have to delete any and all postings which refer to candidates for local office until after the November 2 election. We are sure that most posters and readers of these boards do not want to see that happen, so we would ask that you phrase your postings appropriately. Remember that it could be your child or mine reading these boards, and please act accordingly. Thank you for your cooperation.
