Resident-
All along, the town has proposed having free "jitney" buses that will go through Edgewater to pick up and drop off passengers. Fort Lee was also going to have a shuttle bus.
These buses can turn around in the circle that is on the site.
During rush hour, taking the bus into NYC takes me 40 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic. A direct ferry run could be about 15 minutes. I agree it's certainly not ideal for mid-town commuters, but a stop in Weehawken would only add another 5 or 10 minutes, and it's much more comfortable than sitting on the bus.
Hopefully the town can get the direct route that we'd contracted for.
