In Response To: Who's That Girl? (Mathilde)
I am "that girl." (Thanks, I'm 56 years old) I am the person who moved to Edgewater in 1984, realized what a disaster the wrong kind of development could be and got involved. With no background in politics, little money, I ran for Council against Bryan AND LOST BY ONLY SEVEN VOTES! For the last six years, I have spent the winter months in Florida. When I did that, I gave up my place on the library board, and my activities at Holy Rosary. I haven't been here during election season. In any case, the Republican party and club have not been that active. I am not a politician. My job keeps me travelling much of the time, and it is a major sacrifice for me to be involved. I love Edgewater, have seen what other towns have accomplished and just want Edgewater to be the best it can be.
