Back then,we could have a cookout at the ballfield, it was cooler thete in the summer.Others had parties and get togethers in their yards,anyone was welcome.Some evenings we had pizza delivered under the apple trees from The Capri, one guitar, a small fire, and great sing alongs. The boat ramp at the norht end,one evening we thought some guy was really crazy, he drove up in a small white car,stopped a minute, and drove down it and into the river,a combo car-boat.Too many great memories of Pal Park, Potty C. Our only concern was an occasional can flying over the fence, and onto my roof.Peop;e got along better,even with the loss of so many jobs, everyone helped the others.Evenings watching Little League, the faces on those future Hall of Famers.Yup, they were the best of times.
Now,???? Macy's had the fireworks so close, the place was mobbed for mikes.With gas so high,and the traffic increases to NYC, it's not the same.
