I forgot.
1. The community center was suppossed to be designed as a center for all. Performing arts show, etc. Beth it became a giant basketball court. I'm not oppossed to basketball, but the facility is unusable for anything else. Why? The acoustics are so bad you cannot hear a word that is said ifyou are making a presentation. That should never have happenned, especially because it took 8 years and 3.5 million. Don't believe me, ask anyone who has been in their for a presentation.
2. River Rd. Do you know the approved plan for River Rd. was a tree lined boulvd. That is not what we recieved. Beth you should be mad about that . That again is not smart development. We give approvals and we let something else get built.
3. Edgewater Commons We needed the commons. But do you know that the approval for the Commons design is not what we recieved. Why because the developer let Caldor's (now bankrupt) achange the plans for the approved design of the building. That is why it is a different design and architecture from the rest of the commons. When they started construction and it did not conform, we did not enforce the code regulations on them. That too is irresponsible, and one should be mad. Responsible government would not let things like that happen. Their are no guarantees the coalition will do better, but you won't know unless we give them the chance. I don't like what Ive seen, although on the surface it appears good. We deserve better. Beth fight for Better.
