How I'm going to vote

I am new to this message board, but I have reviewed the web sites of both parties, the campaign materials I've received, the articles in the Record, and I have read most of the postings here. I see from the web sites that Mayor Christiansen worked to replace the old abandoned factories and brought new jobs and new tax ratables to our town. I think these things are very important, and show proven leadership. He also brought about Edgewater Commons and the improvements to River Road.
I also see that Mayor Christiansen worked hard for the new Community Center. Someone here criticized that it took a long time and compared it to building the Great Wall of China, but even though it took time in the end he kept his word about it. He also preserved Veterans Field as a park for us local residents.
I'm not knocking the Coalition, and I wanted to inform myself of the issues and the candidates, but it sure seems to me that these are pretty impressive achievements by the Mayor. I don't like what I've seen here where people are attacking the Mayor personally, and quite frankly it may have turned me off to the Coalition candidates. The Coalition people seem nice enough, but there's no concrete platform, they talk in vague promises about what they would do if elected. It took some time for me to reach the conclusion, after reading these messages and reviewing the web sites and other materials, that the better choice this Election Day is the Democratic ticket.
Please don't trash me like many of you do here to others who have reached the same decision as me. You are entitled to your opinion, and I am entitled to mine.
