You mean all independent consultants working for a big six accounting companies like Price Water House, KPMG and Ernst & Young are unemployed. In silicon valley in California, half of the population are either independent consultants or work from home. As per Maria's definition, they all are unemployed. I don't blame you for having such concepts that all independent consultants are unemployed. It takes time to understand how the world works in 21st century. I used to think the way you think when I used to make hamburger sandwich.

FYI - Independent consultants do not have employers but clients. I don't blame you when you are mixing up employers and clients. Mileage vary from individual to individual.
