I'm as cynical as the next person, but I don't think the planters were placed there to get votes. Yeah, I was going to vote for Candidate A, but now because of the planters, I'm voting for Candidate B.
Also, I don't believe the opening of a FEDERAL post office can be solely dictated by local officials. Same with the timing of the completion of Avalon. Just my opinion -- I don't begrudge you yours, Suzanne, and you may be right.
And I don't want this to be construed necessarily as an endorsement of our current local government. I'm not sure yet who to vote for next week. I've been following the thread below -- very interesting. For me, it's a draw between the Democrats and the Independents. Any suggestions, people? :)
