Alcoa Aluminum

I'm hoping some kind soul will help me with a "family history" question. My uncle worked for Alcoa Aluminum in Edgewater at least in the 50's and/or early 60's. Does anyone know exactly when the Alcoa plant opened there and when it closed? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
