They have to expand the school again because of all the new residential development, the population of the school is growing by leaps and bounds.
We have another school in the North End, George Washington. However, it has not been used as an Edgewater school for many years and it would cost more to bring it up to code than to expand EVG. However, if things continue as they are, the Board of Ed may have to reconsider this.
There is one of the old schools on Gorge Road. A local businessman is converting it into his new HQ. I think it is to the south of the new high-rise down there.
