I agree with you about enforcing codes but rather than making the business owners the cleanup crew for a bunch of pigs and vandals how about going after the perps?

Do you think the business owners are throwing the shopping carts and benches into the river? Do you think they are throwing the litter everywhere? Do you think they are painting the grafiti on their stores?

No my friend, as a society we are out of control. The attitude is let the pigs do whatever they want... somebody else will pick up after them or be fined. Time to start a major campaign to stop those "little" quality of life crimes.

And, let's not get quite so enthusiastic about the wonderful jobs our homeowners do. A lot of the residential properties in town are very poorly cared for. Some are rentals but a lot of them are owner occupied.

Let's start making people accountable for their own actions, no matter who they are.
