Commuting to NYC

Hello I just moved to Edgewater. I wanted to know how easy is it to commute to the city. I know there are buses and vans that go on Boulevard East but what about River Road. Are there just buses? IF so are they really easy to use.

Please let me know ..since I am moving in in 2 weeks. Thanks
