Nelson, Nelson, you are so naive. You think you know what you are talking about, but you are either so misinformed or just plain ignorant of the real world that it is laughable. For your information, MBA students are never "hired directly from a college to run a giant company as a CEO without any experience." Where on earth did you get that belief from? College and post-graduate studies do not have the weight that you give them--after you get a degree, you have to work your way up as in any profession. Nobody comes out of school knowing how to run a multi-national conglomerate. If that were the case, with all the graduates we'd have nothing but chiefs and no indians. A college or post-graduate degree does not qualify someone to hold public office, and correspondingly the lack of formal education does not disqualify someone.

And don't be so impressed by the MBA degree. They're a dime a dozen these days (I myself have a post-graduate degree), and it's on a par with what a bachelor's degree used to be 20 years ago.

Yes, when we all come out of the womb we are inexperienced in the world. And what would happen to us if we did not from that moment on acquire experience, receive assistance, and be taught by those more experienced in the ways of the world? We would die swiftly. I like your analogy--apply it to your candidate, and you have proven my point.
