Amen to that! I haven't wanted to say anything, but now I see that there are others out there thinking the same things I've been thinking. It seems to me that what it is coming down to is a contest betwenn the old timers like myself and the newer younger residents who live mostly in the new developments. I guess that young man running for mayor is their candidate, he represents them and the new way, dressed shabby, no tie or jacket, geration X or whatever. Well I'm not ready to be put out to pasture just yet, this is still my town and I'm not ready to turn over the reins! That does seem to be what it comes down to though, the young scruffy candidate for the newer younger residents (I read that he has only been living here for a few years) vs. us old river rats. I guess we'll see who's controlling our town after November 2.
