No, I would like to tell you who would be my ideal candidate. I would elect as Mayor someone who (1) has lived in our town less that 5 years but is going to lead US and tell US a thing or two about the way things should be run around here, by golly! (2) has never held public office and would have no clue what to do if he was elected, (3) looks down his nose at other candidates because he's better educated (he claims) than them--a real smart way to get votes, with arrogance and cockiness, he will lead and we follow like sheep, get it, you stupid river rats? (4) does negative campaigning and attacks the incumbents instead of campaigning on a platform of what HE would do, (5) when he does talk about what he would do, makes vague arguments about the need for "technology" and "computers" with the upcoming "millennium". Any takers?

Seriously, I knew that with the coming of 2000 there would be all kinds of New Age nonsense and mumbo jumbo, I just never thought it would come to Edgewater politics. All you need to do is throw around meaningless catch phrases about the need to make our town technologically advanced and 21st Century, with no specifics about what that means and exactly what you would do differently. Then go onto internet message boards along with your minions and post messages (which everybody knows are fake), thinking that that is going to win you an election (when in reality it makes you look like a whiny brat). I am so tired of people running for office because of ego and self-importance. Make sure you all get out to vote.
