Votes are in, it is time to make a difference

I would like to send my congratulations to all who fought so hard for what they believed in. Congratulations to our new Mayor Nancy and welcome back Valerie. But now it is time to stop the fighting and come together as a town to make sure that this is done right. I voted against the ferry for my own reasons which are shared by the other 500 or so that did as well. But it is over, the ferry is coming, we now give our trust in both our newly elected officials and the old to make sure it is done with the spirit of the town in mind and not for a person or a party gains!
Elected official are for the people not for there parties or for personnel gain! Please find a way to breach these walls which have caused so much hurt, pain and slowed down the process of the town moving forward. When the last brick is laid and the last road paved it will not be moved and we have to live with what you the council do in the upcoming years. Make us proud that we voted for you all to make a difference, do it because you care, do it because it is the right thing to do. The legacy of building something new is to be that the person or people who made something for all to enjoy and remember. Give Edgewater a legacy that our children will remember as we remember the days of Palisades Park and the Family Festival.
We should stand together as a proud town that we are and support when we can and remind officials when we must. If we can do this together we will have put together something special for us all. Sorry for the long posting, but it is time for changes of attitude and changes in latitude, make flexibility and versatility your goal, please do this for us all and make this becuase it has to work!!!!! There will be no instant replay to allow us to have a do over!!!!
