Ah, the election's over and it's safe ;) to move back to CA... I'll leave Illinois 11/6 and arrive 11/13 after visiting other transplants along the way... Hope Arnie's got some knowledgeable and sensible advisors with lots of integrity and morals lined up to help wade through the awful mess the state's in...
Back to local stuff as someone on the board mentioned... does anyone remember Godfrey Leeman, the longtime resident who painted watercolors? His work is quite good and my mother purchased one. She said (in the 70s this was) that matting and framing w/special glass (?) came to more than the painting itself. I don't remember much about him... maybe a councilman? PTA official?
