The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce (formerly known as the Edgewater Business Alliance) has a new President and Vice President.
At a Board meeting last Wednesday, August 6, 2003, the Trustees unanimously elected Karen DeMarco to succeed former President Adam Liquori, who stepped down last month. DeMarco had been serving as Acting President during the interim.
DeMarco, who is responsible for the chamber's day-to-day operations as its Administrator, formerly served as Vice President. She is President of Virtual Town Pages, a local web site creation and Internet advertising company that maintains online business directories and community web sites such as EdgewaterOnline.com, FortLeeOnline.com, CliffsideParkOnline.com, and RidgefieldOnline.com.
With DeMarco moving up from Vice President, the new chamber Vice President is Maggy Nugent, the group's former Secretary. Nugent is an officer with Trust Company of New Jersey,located in Edgewater Commons. The new secretary is Susan Golthwaite, a marketing representative of Edgewater's Whole Foods Market, who served as the chamber's first President last year. Eliot Lewiskin, CPA remains the chamber's Treasurer.
