I couldn't agree more Susan. I think we all know it is obsolete and overcrowded but I also believe strongly that it should/must be preserved. We should definitely be able to find a way to keep it in the borough's property inventory and utilize it for something.
We often hear about towns with wonderful municipal complexes, like Cliffside. Yes, they are certainly more spacious, more up-to-date, and more "user-friendly". But they lack the charm of that bygone era when all of our towns were in their formative years.
Thanks to all who helped secure the grant and to all who will be involved in determining how to best apply it to the restoration and preservation of this beautiful old piece of our history.
