Another Great Loss for Edgewater

The Borough has suffered another great loss with the passing of Anna Kenny on Wednesday.
Anna was one of those feisty ladies that said what she felt and didn't much care if you shared her opinion. She worked hard for years as a volunteer at Holy Name Hospital. She was an active member of Holy Rosary Church even after she could not attend on a regular basis. She raised her children by herself after the death of her husband.
We all have "Anna" stories I am sure. The one I loved was when Anna was hit by a car and broke her leg while going to vote one year. She tried to convince the ambulance personnel to stop at the firehouse so she could vote, before they took her to the hospital. She figured they could wheel her in on the stretcher and it would only take a moment. That was Anna. Fiercely dedicated to her rights and responsibilities.
Anna: wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and neighbor. We will miss you!
