ICBE - Interview with Police Chief

I just received the latest edition of the ICBE newsletter. Included was an interview done by Susan Murphy with Police Chief Martin.

I found the interview to be very informative. In it the Chief states HIS desire for a new Police Headquarters, "I don't care where they build it, I just want it".

As a taxpayer I am sorry that our mayor and Council have decided that they are the ones responsible for deciding how our tax dollars are spent, and are not falling all over themselves in a rush to spend millions of tax dollars on a new building.

It seems that in a year when our community has just spent millions on taking ownership of a marina, and having also voted in a special election to fund a school expansion program, our Mayor and Council properly believe that We the taxpayers might not be able to afford this additional project at this time.
