I,m sure the Cultural and Historic Committee whould disagree with you, They have worked hard on the cemetary. Did you do any volunteer work there? You know what happens when you pull strings," things fall apart." Did you ever read that book?
after reading the above statement made by "huh" some months past I am in awe. Growing up I was always interested in history, especially that of my home town. I used to get the cemetery keys from the police and spend many happy hours there soaking up the town history. It was always in serious disrepair. I was in the cemetery recently (which has since been pad locked with no key available!!!) and I must say it looks pretty much the same. There are many headstones that have toppled over many years ago and still remain that way. There are some propped up by sticks, and others that have simply sunken into the ground. How come all of this volunteer work did nothing to correct these problems. Mowing the lawn and pulling up some ivy does not count as restoration as far as this long time resident is concerned. And isn't that what we were promised?? Restoration? I'll believe it when I see it.
