You are absolutely right, Mathilde. Because the first year was 1, not zero, 2000 years later is 2001, not 2000. Of course, Y2K is 2000, which is a different thing altogether. I think the media at first made some attempt to differentiate between the two but it went right over the head of the general public. Public frenzy seems to have won out and 2000 is being touted as the new millenium, which it really isn't.

So, what is everyone doing for the big pseudo new millenium's eve?
