Hello B&B, My wife and I just moved into the area (in Cliffside Park, just up the hill from Edgewater), and we really like it here. The proximity to New York City was a motivating factor to our moving here, but there seems to be plenty to do without leaving Bergen County. As for restaurants, we've been here only a month, so we're still exploring. We ate at the Crabhouse (next to the Outback Steakhouse) our first week here and found it to be good. A few random thoughts about the area: - Very friendly people, more so than the area we moved from.
- New Jersey drivers aren't as bad as the stereotypes you hear about, in fact they've been quite decent.
- Taking (and passing) the NJ drivers licensing exam was a pain in the neck.
- Area supermarkets tend to be very crowded.
- A lot of restaurants that will take several years to visit. Let us know what you find and enjoy. S&C
