I guess it was kind of like what happened in Shadyside when the neighborhood residents there chose to build a high-rise instead of maintaining the integrity of their neighborhood. The Mayor and certain council members supported that high-rise opposed by the Independent council member. Walls come in all shapes and sizes. Everyone is responsible for the walls being built in Edgewater. Anyone who doesn't speak out, attend a meeting, organize or register to vote (ie: candidates who show up at election time who were never inclined to attend any meeting or bother to vote themselves) is responsible for the WALLS being built in Edgewater. That includes the walls between neighbors and the wall created to block public opinion. Did you know we are down to 1 Council Meeting per month that the public can speak out at? One hour per month. Twelve hours per year. Open government? I think not! Deals behind walls? Many think so ! FIGHT THE POWER - TAKE DOWN THE WALLS !
