Affordable Housing

I guess I am confused again. I thought the council had voted a few years ago to keep some of the units in town. I guess not.
Well, I want to thank the "Gang of Four" for trying to do the right thing. It is well documented that affordable housing is a problem nationwide with New Jersey being one of the worst places. What is the purpose of having a law saying that developments have to provide affordable units if the towns can play these chess games?
Neda Rose always makes a big deal out of how she is for the "little guy". She had an opportunity to do something concrete for us and she blew it. Mayor Christiansen comes from a humble background so he certainly should be more sympathetic to those of us who are working, decent, law abiding, tax paying citizens who need a helping hand.
And let me tell you something. A copy of that ordinance could have been put in that lawyer's hand and he still would have said he never got it. Don't kid yourself.
And let's ask this question: where is all of the money that the town has received in lieu of these affordable properties? What is the law regarding that? Why is no one up in arms that the money has disappeared into limbo and no one is being helped with it.
There is definitely a shell game being played here.
