campaign spending

So the Dems spent $56,000 and the ICBE spent $18,000. Something does not add up.
The ICBE sent out between August to November at least 12 mailings. The Dems sent out between Oct and November 7 mailings. I may be off by a mailing or two but these are about correct. Average cost of mailing between printing and postage to the town is about $3,000- $4,000 if printed on glossy heavy stock paper. If printed on regular paper it might be $1,500 to $2,500.
If an average mailing is a combination of the two than you are talking about 12 mailings times $2,500 equals $29,000. That doesn't include the pole signs that the ICBE used very expensive stock paper. That alone was $4,000. The 3 street signs had too cost another $1500 to $2000. Total $29,000 + $5,500 = $34,500. Maybe I overstimated so I can take off 10% which brings the total down to $29,000 or so. This does still not include any other charges. So I ask you, how did they do this on $18,000. Answer, they didn't!! If they claim they were gifts or paid for by the printers they MUST BY LAW REPORTED AS IN KIND CONTRIBUTIONS. So please do not be fooled. The real numbers are fairly close. Anyone who does not like my math do it yourself. Add up all the flyers multiply them by a legitimate printing cost add bulk postage rate and Voila.
