I am a former resident of Edgewater, owned a home at % beverly Place for years.During the years I lived there,was very involved in sports for youth,Scoutings, and other programs when the industry left Edgewater.I was on a committee opposed to building the high rise condos,since it meant increasing the budget for the super pumper,more traffic,and the land fill was toxic,when the state had plans to assist the boro, we had a meeting at the legion post inviting the candidates to explain, only dave O'Shea came. When my son Jimmy passed awy, the cost of all of his medical care was too high, I had to sell, and moved to fairview, still trying to keep those programs going.
I am a partially dis-abled vet of the Korean war,earned 2 college degrees in Engineering,had a 47 year career as didrector of retail development.2 of my sons,Michael a policeman and fireman,and Alan still live there, my oldest son was recently married, and moved to Glen Rock.
I was given the name Jersey Jim by my buddies overseas,so, I keep it as JJ I read,fish,paint land and seascapes,crafts,sports are my preesent interests.I know many of the other members, including the mayor
